2004 National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans
On February 13, 2004, we were once again honored to be invited to perform at the Coatesville VA Medical Center to help them celebrate "National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans". We can't tell you what a privilege it is to perform for these men and women. Thanks again to Jeff Fitzsimons for inviting us and to Gary Devansky, the director of the Medical Center, for his continuing support.

By special request of the staff, the band performed its version of "Why Get Up."

Once again, we had a special guest on clarinet. The Vets seemed to really love it!
(Must have been the WWII airplanes on his shirt)

As a real surprise and supreme honor, Gary Devansky, Director of the Coatesville VA Medical Center, presented the band with certificates of appreciation for supporting the Medical Center. This was icing on the cake because just being allowed to perform for the Veterans is reward enough.

After the show, we had a chance to meet and talk with many of the Veterans. This was a real treat for us. There were some musicians and real music lovers in attendance and it was great for them to share their own experiences with us.
