Flag City Grand Opening
Based on our triumphant performance in the Birchrunville July 4 Parade, Voodoo DeVille was asked to play at the Grand Opening of the Flag House in Spring City, PA. The Flag House is an apartment house for low-income seniors. The structure is a 100 year old factory building. It was once the home of the Valley Forge Flag Co., who manufactured flags the flew at D-Day, President Kennedy's funeral, and other milestone events in American history.
Flag City is a neat idea and a good cause. Click here for more information on Flag House.
A number of local newspapers and TV stations covered the event, including the Pottstown Mercury (a Pulitzer Prize winning newspaper).

Gee, weren't those apartment windows open when we started?

Oh yeah, those seniors know how to boogie!
(So did the guy across the street in the Wawa parking lot - long hair, no shirt, tattoos, a six pack - obviously on his was to a film shoot for Fox TV's tribute to Americana, Cops)

An enthusiastic international audience - Finland, India, Ohio, and North Carolina - tries to contain its excitement during the performance.
