Loews Hotel
During the evening of September 20, 2000, Voodoo DeVille played one of its biggest events ever. Bentley Systems of Exton, PA asked the boys to play at a reception held during their annual international user conference. The reception was held at the Loews Hotel in downtown Philadelphia, which recently opened in the historic PSFS Building. Obliging as always, the boys put on a hell of a show for an audience of 300 to 400 people. By the end of the evening the crowd was dancing to everything they played. The gig could have lasted all night but, after three encores and the crowd cheering for more, the sound man - a longshoreman from Jersey reputed to have mob connections - wanted to go home and pulled the plug. Given the company the sound guy allegedly kept, the boys decided not to argue with him.
A very special thanks goes out to our photo contributors. As usual the staff photographer, Flash, did his usual highly professional job. We'd like to also thank our friends Mike Stephan and Miroslav Kovácik for contributing some fine digital images.
In a very rare lapse of focus, the Voodoo DeVille head of security (Killer) let his guard down for a split second and allowed himself to be photographed. Can you spot him?

The crowd was a little sedate at first, but they didn't stay on their butts for long...
Pretty soon they were on their feet.
Stacks don't allow no messin' with the kid
We are crazy 'bout our baby, and Caldonia is her name...
T-Bone went wireless for the first time. Did he like it?
The picture speaks for itself.
Man, we love happy people...
Displaying their storied youth and agility, Voodoo DeVille proves once again that moves are everything.
In an interesting use of color and light that approaches art, Flash - the official Voodoo DeVille photographer - attempts to capture the motion and excitement of the moment using a technique...uh.. wait... what's that? Oh, he just forgot to turn on the flash? Sorry.
Did we have a good time or what?
