United Way 2000 Talent Show
On November 16, 2000 United Way of Chester County sponsored a charity fair in the Eagleview Corporate Park located in Exton, PA. The activities included a Talent Show featuring a number of performers from Bentley Systems. Voodoo DeVille was enlisted to host the Talent Show, peforming at the opening and closing of the show and providing musical backing and sound support for a number of the performers.
United Way's Campaign 2000 was a very worthy cause, deverving of everyone's support.
Many thanks to Frank Conforti - noted author, a great fan, and a connoisseur of Hawaiian shirts - for the photos used here.

Voodoo DeVille's own King Tonga open the show with his famous fire breathing, fire eating, juggling, magic act. It was a great start, although they wouldn't allow him into the tent. Something about a fire hazard. The Fire Marshall was probably unaware that King Tonga is a registered Pyrotechnologist in the state of New Mexico (actually, that's true).
Stacks kicked off the musical portion of the show performing his version of Little Walter's "Off the Wall."
Mike Holliday performed several of his own original compositions.
And here they are, Unusual Behavior...
Lori Jacobs and Lynn Verdone of backflipannie performed several songs from their CD.

The Guthrie Sisters demonstrated their great harmonies.
Voodoo DeVille had the great privilege of backing up Liz Rogers Wolfram as she belted out a few songs.

As the evening winds down, a forlorn looking Rooster, hoping for one more chance on stage, can't bear that the night is nearly over.
